Improving the efficiency and performance curve of our 1-1/2 x 3 x 12 HP (high pressure) pump, is the current hot project at CRYO-MACH. This extensive effort has involved redesigning and testing the impeller, and is now at the volute housing phase. CFD has played a key role in this project and the volute, like the impeller, will be fabricated as a full size prototype in order to verify the theoretical results. Due to advancements in foundry technologies, we are anticipating combining both the standard and HP volutes into one cost effective model that will be capable of handling a wide range of pressures.
